Signet Rings & Reverse Seals
Shane hand forges his signet rings. The advantage of this is that the gold or silver is compressed through hammering and rolling, which engraves beautifully. It allows the metal to be cut with the finest clean detail and gives superior wear, unlike the mass produced cast rings of today.

The Initially Collection
Exclusive to Hinton Jewellers is Shane's Initially Collection - gold or silver discs worn as either a pendant, ring or bracelet hand chisel-engraved with your choice of initials or dates to commemorate that special person, time or place.
Estate Jewellery
A large proportion of Shane's work comes from clients who have inherited jewellery from a loved one but which either needs a little TLC or is re-designed into something more to the wearer's taste, sentimentally using the stones or metal from the original piece.
Repairs
Shane specialises in all types of jewellery repair and restoration. Most jewellery should be checked on a regular basis for wear and tear. Many a client's diamond has been lost through neglecting claw wear, and chains will wear quickly if dirt is trapped between the links. Shane is more than happy to cast his eye over your jewellery anytime free of charge.
